That Was Then…

After 6 years I finally get somewhere to park my car

After moving in to my current Unit back in 2002 I quickly realised that there was no way to park my car securely behind the supplied gates. So I decided to sacrifice the lovely lemon tree that was situated in the middle of the lawn area. Apart from losing the access to fresh lemons this has worked well until this year.

This winter has been the wettest here in Ballarat that I can remember in years. Along with the rain comes MUD! Apart from what it was doing to my shoes I also fell ass over tit and just about gave myself a sex change in the process.

Being as angry as I was in retrospect maybe I should not have been talking to anyone, but I telephoned the owners and proceeded to explain what had happened and that with my disability it should not have happened in the first place. The girl I spoke with agreed and was quit sympathetic despite my obvious aggressive mood and assured me that they would get someone to inspect the property soon.

Latter that afternoon true to word the inspector was there and told me that they would be able to put down concrete strips for the car to park on which would eliminate the mud problem. Bright and early the following Monday morning the concreters arrived and boxed the job up. The following day the concrete was poured.
